My Son's Art Studies Photo Album

Homeschool student art studies photo album #homeschool by A Slice of Homeschool.com

As I've mentioned in one of my earlier posts, we use the MeetTheMasters Online Art curriculum for our art studies.  One of the elements of this program that I enjoy is the printable artwork images.  I usually display each one on our wall as we study the artist.

Prior to moving on to our next artist study, I print a photo-sized copy of the artwork and add it to my sons "art" photo album.

I created this album as a tool for my son's use in his art studies.  It helps him to remember each name of the artist (and artwork) he has studied.  After printing the image included with the curriculum, I perform an online search for several other images related to our artist.  (I like to include six pieces of artwork as we spend six weeks studying each artist.)  I then have my son copy the artist's name along with the title of the artwork in the space provided next to the picture.  At the beginning and end of each school year, we flip through the pages for a quick review.

I always let my son pick out his favorite pieces of artwork in order to help him personalize his album.
