I have a confession to make...I LOVE field trips! In fact, I've come to the realization that I may possibly enjoy them even more than my own children do.
Oh, and I don't believe that I'm the only homeschool mom that feels this way.
Okay, so how did this realization come to me? This week one of our field trips was to a fossil and science center.
We loved that it was based on creationism.
After our tour the children played at Jurassic Park. They had a blast!

All waiting for the zip line! |
Almost all of the children decided to take a ride on the zip line. It looked like so much fun that the moms decided they would try it too.
And that's how I ended up on a zip line. It was at this time, as I was flying down the line, that it hit me... I LOVE field trips!
I must say, it was a blast to be a kid with our kids!
Are there any other moms out there that have the same confession to make?

Yes, I agree! I LOVE FIELD TRIPS! And I know the kids do as well...but that might have a little more to do with the fact they only have to do math and English on field trip days! :)
ReplyDeleteI love field trips at least as much as my kids, and often more. I had my first experience on a zipline a few years ago when I went on a missions trip to Honduras - fun!!
ReplyDeleteI love them too!!!
ReplyDeleteI read something somewhere along the line from a "seasoned" home schooling Mom.....it said something about taking advantage of as many field trips as possible, b/c the books can always be worked around the trips. I think that was great advice.
So true Beth!
ReplyDeleteWere you really nervous about jumping? That was the most nerve wracking part.
ReplyDeleteactually, the worst part was climbing the ladders to the stations in the trees. o.O everything else was a piece of cake compared to that. I hate ladders. LOL
