We decided to take a mini vacation to Dearborn, MI, to visit The Henry Ford Museum. I love when we go somewhere that is both fun and educational.
There was so much to see at this museum. In fact, it took us about 2 1/2 hours to see everything.
Some of the things you'll see include machinery, cars, and airplanes from the 1800s and beyond; equipment from the Industrial Age, layouts of the inside of homes from different eras including all of the materials used during that time; steam trains; and so much more.
Everywhere you looked, there was something to see.
The bus Rosa Parks rode. |
The chair in which President Lincoln was sitting in when he was shot. |
Amelia Earhart |
Have children who love trains? Then they will enjoy this section of the museum. |
The price for admission to the museum is $17.00 for adults, and $12.50 for youth ages 5 - 12.
If you, too, enjoy educational vacations, then this is one place you'll want to visit. For those of you who have visited the museum, I'd love to read about your experience in the comment section below.
